I forgot to take a photo of the bureau prior to upcycling this.
I got this free from Facebook marketplace and it was in a sad condition. Covered in cobwebs, veneer was chipped and the legs were very loose. The metal ring handles were black and rusted.
This has been my biggest renovation job – sanding , gluing the legs back, filler to the veneer and polishing the brass ‘lid’ supports. all before I could start painting.
Pink – Dulux Heritage Velvet Matt in Eastern Silk
White – Dulux Heritage Eggshell in Lead White
Pale Blue – Dulux Heritage Velvet Matt in Soft Teal
The heart on the front came from Hobbycraft and is painted in the Pink Eastern Silks with Pebo Acrylics in Sapphire, Silver and Rose Gold.
The 6 ceramic knobs and the crystal knob all came from Knobbles and Bobbles
The inside of the drawers have been lined with wallpaper from Homebase.
A little post script…….thanks to Pete for fitting the new knobs.
