Blue Desk

I think I was mad picking this up from Facebook, but I had been looking for a pine desk to paint and add to my home office; well I could refuse a freebie.

However, I didn’t expect to find it was in pieces when I got there. The legs were off and all three drawers had fallen apart. To make it worse it had been in a garage for best part of year and covered in cobwebs.

First, job was to mend the drawers and then a really good sand; follwed by a good hoover.

The painting was a joy. It glided on and left a really nice finish. I used Frenchic Al Fresco in Dazzle Me and Ole Blue Eyes. New nobs from Nobbles and Bobbles. Then a coat of clear varnish to the wood.

Really pleased with the result and is perfect for my needs.
