My cousin gave me an old oak coffee table.
Upcycle it and sell it, she said.
My word it was in a state. The top was marked with cup stains and water damage. The legs weren’t attached properly to the top and there were massive gaps on the corners.
The sanding was hard work, then I had to work out how to make it all safe and solid again, before filling in gaps.
I don’t think I’ve had such a challenge before.
Work completed with Frenchic Al Fresco Cool Beans and Dulux Heritage Velvet Matte in Florentine Red – with gold leaf decals on the base and rose decal on the top.
Cool Beans is an amazing colour and depending on the light varies from a soft pink, to a milky latte, to an off white. I think this is my favourite of the soft colours I have used so far.
